Hello, I’m D.M. Fisher of All Seasons Art Studio and - figuratively speaking - naturalism is a choice I made when I seriously went back to my art in 2001 at the age of seventeen. The first thing I ever grasped hold of was a pencil and paper, given to me by my mother when I was aged two, and I started copying photographs from books. Ever since then I have continued to fully nurture my creative side right into mature adulthood. I now get very curious about life. For instance when I walk down a country lane and see the clouds roll over the horizon in the landscape, or from looking at the light in the trees on a misty morning, to when I grasp an atmospheric effect on the seashore in spring, to discovering the true nature of the people that I’m friends with. I abate this curiosity by transferring this visual inspiration into presentation, as essentially I’m a philosophically inclined artist who enjoys producing authentic and fine artwork that enables other people to feel that special something in their lives. In transferring the feelings I get when I am in my studio or out in the countryside, I am observing and exploring what it is like to be the essence of a single grain of sand or a big gnarly oak tree. I like to think that we as human beings are a part of and at one with nature in all ways, never for one second denying the possibility or the vision of the contemporary sublime within light, form and colour. Whilst living we build associations and connections in our lives that shape our own and other people’s future in a direct and profound way: that’s the power of art. So if you want to get in touch with me then please don’t hesitate - I do try to respond as quickly as I can. Many thanks.
