2027 Bicentenary Poster – Call for Work

2027 Bicentenary Poster – Call for Work

2027 Bicentenary Poster
2027 marks an enormous milestone for Aberdeen Artists Society; it marks our 200th anniversary, making us the second oldest artists’ society in Scotland.

We have an exciting programme of events planned to celebrate this incredible passage of time and we look forward to revealing these as the year unfolds.

To advertise our ‘Big Birthday’ events, we want to utilise a design created by one of our members. The design will be used on posters, flyers and other advertising media throughout the anniversary year. This approach continues a long tradition in itself, maintaining the partnership between Peacock Visual Arts and Aberdeen Artists Society that reaches back to the start of the print workshop. We are therefore delighted to offer you the opportunity to work with Peacock Visual Arts to create a celebratory design for the 2027 advertising campaign.
Full details are included in the attached call for work, Call for Work – Poster design. Please read it carefully, and we look forward to seeing your designs.
As always, if there are any questions, please email Admin@AberdeenArtistsSociety.co.uk

Jacques Pretorius

Working from Scotland, my practice explores the relationship between personal memory and the natural world, considering how landscape shapes our emotional experience and sense of place. Working primarily in charcoal on paper and mixed media such as watercolour, ink and pastel, I create contemporary works that combine precision with atmosphere, harnessing the richness and immediacy of each medium to evoke spaces that feel both familiar and quietly resonant.
