Helen Ramsey
I am a mixed media artist working in watercolour, gouache, and ink.
My work explores nature, magic, and the quiet contemplation of landscapes. Though my professional life has led me elsewhere, art has always remained a constant sanctuary, giving me space to slow down, observe, and imagine.
Growing up in Hong Kong, I did not have the opportunity to develop the deep emotional connection with forests and wildlife that I later discovered in Scotland. Since moving to Aberdeenshire, I have been profoundly moved by its beauty, and have found great joy in hiking, foraging, and sea swimming.
Through my work, I hope to help others connect with nature and discover a sense of magic in their everyday lives.
